POLISH
These magnificent ornamental birds were given their
title "Crested" or
"Polish" by Charles Darwin, but little is
known of their origin even though they were mentioned as
early as the 1600's. It is only the crested variety
that boast such large nostrils. They are most often
known for both exhibition and for the production of large
white eggs.

name from the town, Houdan, in France. They have
always been popular for their fine meat quality and large
white eggs.
