AMERAUCANAS
Ameraucanas were developed in the U.S. from the rumpless Araucanas. While the hens are mid sized the roosters are quite sizable and tend to be protective. They are a hardy bird laying very large high quality eggs that range in color from turquoise to sky blue. Their beards, tails and multi-coloring make them our most popular exotic layer year after year.

BUFF ORPINGTON
Buff Orpingtons were not introduced here until the early 1900’s. They have broad feathers that fit smoothly on their deep massive bodies. Excellent winter birds, good layers and excellent pale meat make this a top class dual-purpose bird. Roosters can be aggressive once full grown-not a problem in small numbers, hens are delightfully quiet. This breed remains a very popular all purpose bird!
